The semiconductor market in mainland China has developed rapidly in recent years and has grown into one of the largest and most diverse regions in the world. It has also become one of the most important regional markets for the KE Group. Since its establishment in Shanghai in May 2002, KE Semiconductor Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (KESH for short) has shared weal and woe with its customers, fought side by side, and participated in and witnessed the magnificent development of China's semiconductor industry in the past two decades.
KE Group’s slogan is “Technology & Tai-wa for Tomorrow”. KESH's mission in mainland China is to bring KE Group's advanced technology to our Chinese customers, to engage in active dialogue (Tai-wa) with customers, to listen to their voices, to accurately and promptly feedback Chinese customers' needs and opinions to the Japanese headquarters, and to promote rapid feedback and improvements to meet customer needs.
KESH shares KE's long historical heritage, but is also a young, dynamic and diversified company. The average age of our employees is less than 33 years old as of April 2024. And their backgrounds are also very diverse: not only are there international employees from South Korea and Japan, but the vast majority of local Chinese employees also come from 28 different provinces and cities, many of whom have experience studying and living in Japan or North America. In our management team, 20% are female employees. As the mainland China branch of a global company headquartered in Japan, KESH is making every effort to promote the localization of its team while pursuing globalization and internationalization. Currently, all positions above the department head level in the company are held by employees with Chinese background.
